RULES
- The use of stimulants, alcohol and other prohibited and / or dangerous substances is prohibited.
- Follow the marking. In case of diversion or loss, call the organizers. Phone numbers are listed on the start number.

- Be sure to bring a water container. There will be water to refill along the route. From an ecological point of view, plastic bottles will not be distributed.
- If necessary, you should help a competitor in need or contact the organizers.
- Persons over the age of 18 are eligible to participate in the Kalandzha Marathon, and all those wishing to take part in the 13, 21 and 42 km run and the 21 and 42 km mountain bike must be accompanied by an adult.
- A parent/guardian is required to complete a declaration for all participants between the ages of 5 and 17.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Each participant declares that:
1. is familiar with the “Kalandzha Marathon” initiative, takes full responsibility for his/her participation in the event and participates voluntarily.
2. Is mentally and physically healthy.
3. Does not suffer from diseases concerning the cardiovascular system, the psychomotor system of the body, as well as from high blood pressure, eye pressure or other serious diseases.
4. The health, physical and sport-technical condition meet the difficulty of the route and allow to participate in the Kalandzha Marathon.
5. He/she is aware of the risks of sustaining injuries, including serious ones, for which the organisers are not responsible.
6. During the race, the participant’s priority is safe movement, sportsmanship and environmental protection.
7. In case of need, the participant is ready to provide assistance and to notify the organizers if their assistance is required.
8. During the race he/she will carry the mandatory equipment required by the organizers.
9. Will follow the marked route and obey the instructions of the control posts.
10. Will not leave the event without the knowledge of the control posts or without notifying the organisers on +359 896 686 242.
11. Will not use unauthorised stimulants, alcohol or psychoactive substances before or during the event.
12. Shall comply with the instructions and safety measures recommended by the organisers.
13. No claims for the provision of an equipped doctor’s office at the time of implementation of the event, as well as medical supervision under Article 51 et seq. of the Public Health Act, as well as the Regulation under Article 53 of the Public Health Act, Article 6.
14. He has read the instructions for the competition in advance and is solely responsible for the consequences in case of non-compliance.
15. Is responsible for his/her actions, life and health during the sporting event.
16. Hereby agrees to release the organizers, sponsors, spectators and other participants of the sporting event from liability for death, disability, physical injury, property damage, theft of property, etc. that
may befall the participant during the event or en route to the event site.
17. Participant hereby consents to receive medical treatment for injury, trauma or illness during the event.
18. Has read and understands the contents of this declaration and that he/she has read and agrees to the instructions for participation in the sporting event.

In this document Kalandzha Marathon will be referred to as the Organiser for short.
Marathon Kalandzha’s Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures for processing your personal data in connection with your participation in Kalandzha Marathon, informing you of your rights and how the law protects you.
We use your personal data to provide and improve our services in connection with your participation in the Kalandzha Marathon. By using our services, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Collection and use of your personal data
When using our services, we may ask you to provide certain personal information to be used to contact you or to identify you. Personal information may include:

- Date of birth
- ID
- Gender
- Club membership
- Mobile phone number
- Email address

The organiser collects your personal data in order to organise and run the Kalandzha Marathon in a proper and safe manner for you. Safety is our top priority. To ensure a high level of safety during the Kalandzha Marathon, it is necessary for us to collect certain personal data from you.
The organiser may use your personal data for the following purposes:
– To provide and maintain our services.
– To manage your registration as a user. The personal information you provide may give you access to various features that are available to you as a registered user. For example, once you register for the Kalandzha Marathon, you will receive an identification number (ID number).
– To contact you via email, phone calls, SMS or other equivalent forms of electronic communication.
– To provide you with news and general information relating to Kalandza Marathon.
– To manage and respond to your requests to us.
– Your date of birth is collected to ensure that you are 12 years of age or older. Children under the age of 12 are not eligible to participate in the Kalandzha Marathon. It is also important to collect the dates of birth of all overseas mountain biking participants, as without these details the Organiser cannot issue their personal insurance.
– The SSN is collected only on Bulgarian mountain biking participants for issuing their personal insurance.
Your personal data (excluding your ID number, mobile phone number and your e-mail address) may be published on the Internet, in print media, on television, in announcements from loudspeakers, and in start lists and rankings during and after the Kalandzha Marathon. Photos and videos created in connection with the Kalandzha Marathon may be used on the Internet, in print media and on television without remuneration.
The organiser only shares your personal information with one of its business partners. That is RACE TIMING BG Ltd. The organiser has a contract with RACE TIMING BG Ltd. According to this contract, RACE TIMING BG Ltd. performs the registration, organizes the chip timing system and summarizes the results of the Kalandzha Marathon. In addition, RACE TIMING BG Ltd. produces the race numbers and supplies timing chips for all participants. RACE TIMING BG Ltd uses your personal information to offer you specific services related to your participation in the Kalandzha Marathon.
By registering for the Kalandzha Marathon, you automatically consent to the publication of your first name, last name (and any other names you have) and gender in the start lists and final race standings.
Storage of your personal data
The Organiser will retain your personal data for the period necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will use your personal data from the time of your registration for the Kalandzha Marathon and keep it until 30 days after the Kalandzha Marathon has ended. Your personal data will be deleted from our database 30 days after the event. Some of your personal data (first name, last name and any other names you may have, and gender) will be retained after the race so that we can provide information about the final ranking of the Kalandzha Marathon.
Security of your personal data
The security of your personal data is essential to us, but you should note that no method of transmitting information over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Although we strive to implement commercially reasonable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Apart from us, as the Organiser of the Kalandzha Marathon, and RACE TIMING BG Ltd (responsible for the registration and timing systems), no other service providers have access to your personal data.

Participant Declaration: The provision of personal data is necessary for the issuance of a “Participant Declaration”, which you must sign in order to participate in the Kalandzha Marathon.

The Organiser is committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring that you can exercise your rights.
